     Who was it that said, "If you've seen one fractal pattern distortion, you've seen them all."?  Well, here's some more.
      The one seen to your left originated with a number of layered fractal images created using Kai's Power Tools 5.  Then some masking and touching up was done in Metacreations Painter 5.5.  No, I did not use any presets.

     This image also made use of Kai's Power Tools 5 as well as Metacreations Painter 5.5.  I used a number of fractal generation filters as well as FiberOptix in KPT and then added other miscellaneous imaging effects with Painter 5.5's new effects and graphic brushes.
